We had dinner reservations at 7:00pm last night but had an errand at Nordstrom at 5:00pm. Driving back to K-Town not an option especially with gas over $4.00 a gallon. Showing up 1 & 1/2 hours early at the restaurant also not an option. What about cocktails to kill time? I'm always game for cocktails!
Since our dinner was with our usual wine gang, I didn't want to fill up on wine pre-dinner so I simply ordered a glass of Livio Felluga Pinot Grigio. A nice balance of mineral and citrus with a medium long finish.

Since the Mrs is the designated for the drive home, she usually watches her wine consumption during dinner... but this is pre-dinner so she had a Bellini.

She also ordered a cheese platter to get a little fat in her stomach to help dissolve some of the alcohol. A Chevre, Gouda and Triple Cream with strawberries, honeydew, raisins and toasted almond flakes with bread.

The Bellini wasn't enough so she also tried a Hono_____ something cocktail that was pineapple based...

Now off to Le Guignol for dinner...
