After the SPECTACULAR Krug tasting at the 2012 Food & Wine Festival, we decided to have lunch at Mariposa. Plus the Mrs needed some sustenance since 8 mini servings of Krug put her in the zone. Of course, gotta start with the Frites served with aioli and two types of ketchup. I swear, Mariposa does the BEST sweet potato fries on the island... maybe the nation. And their regular fries are nothing to sneeze at either!
And since the Krug servings were just 2 ounces, we also had to have more vino. This time it was a bottle of 2008 Au Bon Climat La Bauge Au-dessus Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir. And it was fitting since none other than Jim Clendenen sat right next to us during the Krug tasting (still nursing a too-much-tequila-the-night-before hangover) who told the Mrs to drink all of her Krug samples.
We sampled the King Crab Salad (winnah, winnah, crab salad dinnah)!

We skipped the Antinori tasting held right after the Krug tasting but someone needed to drive home!
