Samuel Smith Organic Chocolate Stout
The BOMB! Until this brew, Rogue's Chocolate Stout by
Sebbie Buehler was King (or Queen). Rich chocolate cocoa nose with good
Valrhona cocoa on the palate then a light pleasing finish that begs for another
sip.
Young's Double Chocolate Stout
Chocolatey hop nose with a nice balance of mocha
bitterness and bittersweet chocolate on the palate and a medium finish.
Rogue Voodoo Donut Bacon Maple Ale
Despite the eye-catching pink label, the nose was
dominated by the smoked malts with nary a hint of bacon or maple. Good hoppy
bitterness on the end to pair with typical bar foods but we were looking for a
unique brew with bacon and maple.
