After a full lunch at Poggio, the Mrs still wasn't very hungry when evening approached and since it was Halloween, we didn't really want to get into the nightlife that is Halloween in The City. So after checking into the Kabuki Hotel, we simply did our usual perusal of Japantown - lots of changes and now with oodles of ramen shops. We knew that the stalwart market known as Uoki closed late last year so it was nice to know that Soko Hardware along with Sanko, Maruwa Market and Nijiya Market were still in business. However, by the early evening most were closed for business so we wandered to Nijiya Market which was still open.
So I purchased a little "snack" to savor in our hotel room including a bottle of Awayuki Nigori Junmai sake - it's a "cloudy" unfiltered sake with enough body to balance the richness of fatty tuna.
Along with a tray of Negitoro.
I usually enjoy my sake while soaking in Kabuki's furo tubs but since it was unseasonally warm in NoCal, just enjoyed my snack in the cool confines of our air conditioned room... Tomorrow we hit the Ferry Building Marketplace...
