On the last day of vacation, we decided to check out Slurp for lunch. What and where is Slurp? Slurp is open just for lunch on weekdays between 10:30 and 2:00 and primarily serves various ramen along with other Asian inspired delicacies like pork bao, gyoza and fried rice. They also have a full wine list and hand crafted sodas if you're taking your usual workday lunch break. And if you've been to Vino in the Waterfront Plaza at night, then you've already been to the physical location known as Slurp.
The Mrs first wanted to sample one of their hand crafted sodas - the Mango Soda
And since I was still on vacation, I originally intended on just having a glass of CF Riesling...
Then Chuck walks by our table and suggests a full bottle... so we let him pick a selection that would pair with ramen, bao and fried rice and he brings out a My Essential Rose.
We then move on to the Tempura Soft Shell Crab Bun with Sriracha aioli... mmm, mmm, good...
And the Coconut Curry Fried Rice with cilantro and Thai basil... mmm, mmm, just as good...
Along with the Mrs' Crab Ramen with truffled dashi - it's like sister restaurant Sansei's version...
And my Chinatown Duck Ramen with five-spiced broth, sliced duck and a ginger-cilantro pesto.
Then Chef Keith brings out a plate of his Pork Belly Hoisin Bun... KILLER!
Then more wine, Chuck blinds us 2 different reds...
A 2006 Patrick Jazmin Cote Rotie and a New World Syrah...
I usually hate it when I'm down to the last day of vacation but if it always includes grinds like this, it's all good!...
