Vino held its open house this past Sunday for friends and family. Several wines were poured as well as several food stations throughout the restaurant. We finally got to view the two private rooms - one holds about 20 guests while the second can fit up to 35 or so. They are separated by a door which can be left open if you need both spaces and they eventually install glass windows above the bar so that the private rooms are truly private (right now you can lean off of the wall and speak with the bartenders... or try to grab some gin...)
I uncorked a magnum of 2009 Huet Petillant sparkling Vouvray...
While C uncorked a Magnum of 2006 Zilliken Saarburger Rausch Riesling Spatlese...
Winemakers sent Chuck soil from their various vineyards...
The appetizers included braised short ribs...
Cheese and bread...
Scampi on linguine...
Assorted salumi and condimento...
Pizza...
With a couple of other bottles carted by the Palaka Wine Co including a 1997 Domaine Terrebrune Bandol...
A 1998 Castello dei Rampolla Vigna d"Alceo...
And a 2010 Louis Latour Vosne-Romanee...
Along with the load of wine Vino provided for the guests...
So Vino seems to be right back in the swing of things... heck, even Chef Keith "posed" for a photo... he of the the-usually-would-hide-in-the-kitchen-all-night at the old Vino...
So life is good once again...
