The Mrs unfortunately worked the whole 3-Day but she still wanted to do a Date Night at Vino most likely as a belated Valentine's Day dinner. We weren't in the mood this past Tuesday especially after the major wind storm blew out 3 sections of our new vinyl fence...
Anyway, I initially tried securing a table via OpenTable on Thursday... earliest table at 8:30pm... what about Sunday... earliest table at 7:45pm... so I contacted the General Manager directly... she did confirm that they had three large parties on Saturday that extended to their private room but could accomodate us at 6:00pm. Ok, SOLD!
The amuse bouche was a sopressata frittata... I love that Vino is now offering various frittata amuse bouche and supporting local by purchasing their eggs from Waimana Farms...
After the Mrs ordered her Aperol Spritz and I had my glass of CF Pinot Noir, we dove in to the Calamari with pepperoncino balsamico aioli...
We also needed veggies so the Mrs selected the Charred Broccoli...
Though Vino also comped us the Fried Brussel Sprouts since our Lobster Pizza was a little delayed... apparently the lobster was so fresh, it wanted to run away and "jumped" out of the oven...
We also sampled the special Fresh Torn Pasta with shredded short rib and Swiss chard... their short rib pastas are ALWAYS good!
Along with the Lobster Pizza with sun dried tomatoes and shaved black truffles...
The Mrs was still a little hungry so she also ordered the Mary's Roasted Chicken...
I was stuffed since I visited Rainbow Drive Inn earlier in the day to sample their Mixed Plate with gravy all "ovah"... enough calories to last 2 full days... but oh, so ono!
The Mrs finished the evening with the special Chocolate Chip and Cranberry Bread Pudding...
While I simply had my Negroni...
And we actually exited a little before 7:30pm... a first since our table could actually be turned... I'm glad that business seems to be great at Vino though it does make it a little more more challenging to secure a table...
