Lunch @ Fete

We had a simple cocktail associated lunch at Fete during our recent stay-cation. Though Fete doesn't have the largest menu, what they offer is done perfectly and their cocktail list is great with mixologists that are very personable, so much so that we usually grab a bar seat even if tables are open.

The Mrs started with a Tokidoki Blush with Hanson vodka, rose syrup, lemon, Combier spray and rhubarb bitters an no, it didn't taste like your grandmother's perfume but just with a touch of rose...

While I sampled the Fete 75, their take on a French 75 with St George gin, Prosecco, elderflower liqueur and cucumber... when you have both gin and bubbly, I'm there!

We then indulged in the Chicken Liver Mousse with a red onion sour cherry marmalade andpickled okra...

The 4 Fete Spreads with Walnut Tapenade (my fave), Babaganoush (my 2nd fave), Red Pepper Hummus and Ricotta with Honey and their toasted Fete bread...

And a plate of frites

Second round had the Mrs sampling the Golden Hour with gin, egg white, yuzu lemon balm syrup, lemon and orange juice and citrus bitters...

While I chose the Carroll Gardens with Brooklyn gin, Braulio amaro and Mezzodi... almost like a Negroni...

For our salads including the Grilled Cinderella Bliss Pumpkin Salad with arugula, candied calamansi, feta, toasted pepitas, smoked pimenton and lilikoi sherry vinaigrette...

And the Smoked Beets with gorgonzola crema, arugula, shaved fennel and candied pistachios...

I also sampled a half glass of the 2008 Gravner Ribolla Gialla. I love these "orange" wines especially if offered by the glass especially from a master like Gravner...

No room for dessert, but we'll be back...
