We sampled lunch at Mariposa after I purchased the Mrs' birthday gift card from Neiman Marcus.
And as usual, cocktails were in order including the Mrs' Melon Mule with Absolut Elyx, cantaloupe, lime, mint and Q ginger beer...
While I sampled the Island Sparkling Cocktail with Malibu spiced rum, honey, syrup, lime, orange bitters and sparkling wine...
We then had a plate of their usual frites - they know the T's, one likes ketchup, the other loves mayo...
The Mrs then sampled the Applewood Salmon on Mari's greens, Maui onion, Sweet Land farms goat cheese, spiced pecans and Champagne-papaya vinaigrette... BTW the salmon was perfectly cooked, not dried out with overcooking...
While I sampled the Misoyaki Kona Kampachi with multi-grain rice, garlic-ginger choi sum, King crab namasu and kabayaki butter... very tasty almost like miso butterfish...
With a glass of 2016 Domaine de Triennes Viognier...
We skipped desserts but again, we'll be back...
