Because we enjoyed our first meal at Vein a couple of months ago, we decided another visit was in order during our most recent stay-cation. And again, a round of cocktails was in order, the Yuzu Margarita for the Mrs...
While I had the Boulevardier... basically a Negroni with the gin swapped out for bourbon...
We also once again started with the Truffle'D Frites...
Then the Mrs sampled the Scallion Arrabiata with San Marzano tomato, chili and Parmigiano Reggiano on linguini...
While I HAD to have a plate of the Porcini Carbonara... almost like a tajarin pasta with a paste-like sauce of mushrooms and porcini, as umami bomb as it gets...
And it doesn't hurt to include that runny egg...

We then moved across the breezeway for a single scoop of Kona Coffee ice cream from Butterfly Ice Cream...
Though we still need to visit the Village Bottle Shop and Tasting Room some day...
