I know that there are now tons of Advent Calendars offered during the holidays but since last year, I've been getting Ms S the Bonne Maman Advent Calendar. Primarily because she loves the Bonne Maman products which are sold in most grocery stores, the products contain primarily fruit, pectin and sugar and though I can't verify the story, the Gervosan family may have helped Jewish families during the Nazi occupation. At the very least, Bonne Maman makes an excellent product.
The Advent Calendar features 23 miniature bottles of fruit preserves and 1 bottle of honey - the bottles are just enough for a slice of toast, biscuit or scone.
