Dinner @ Haleiwa Joe's

Because a former co-worker from years past was visiting from Scotsdale, Arizona, we had dinner with CSR and wife at Haleiwa Joe's. Haleiwa Joe's started operations in Haleiwa back in 1998 then two years later expanded to Kaneohe in the Haiku Gardens location. When I looked back at all of my old photos, discovered that the last time we dined at Haleiwa Joe's was back in July of 2010... the last time CSR visited the 50th with his then girlfriend (and now his wife). Geez! We really don't get out of the house!

Because Haleiwa Joe's doesn't take reservations, we first took a table at the bar (the bar section doesn't serve the full menu, just appetizers and burgers) until a table for 7 opened up in the main dining area... I started with a Guinness on tap...

While Ms S had the Li Hing Mui Margarita...

Since it was already close to 8pm, we went straight to the entrees with Ms S' Prime Rib - they usually sell out quickly so I was surprised that the Prime Rib was still available close to 8pm...

We also split their Steak Fries...

While I sampled the Grilled Salmon...

Now, only if Haleiwa Joe's would take reservations, we'd stop by more than once every 13 & 1/2 years when tourists from Scotsdale are visiting...
