It's been quite a while since KBay Bros Fish & Ice opened back in September 2021 by the four Koki brothers. Though I'm high school classmates with the oldest sibling, Tyler, I never really got to know him at Castle High School as I was primarily occupied with band while he was into football. But it's become Ms S's favorite place to purchase poke - she usually visits at least once a week. They make poke from both fresh and previously frozen ahi as well as poke from salmon, lomi oio, kamaboko and create inari bombs topped with spicy ahi and imitation crab salad. But we've sampled quite a bit of what they offer including a sashimi paltter we ordered for this past New Year's celebration and it's always been ono! One of Ms S's faves is the Kalakoa Poke or ahi, salmon and hamachi poke topped with a sweet, ponzu sauce...
She also usually gets some of their Paina Poke which is ahi topped with an imitation crab salad...
And if they do have their Lomi Oio (not always), she has to purchase at least a pound...

With the Imitation Crab Inari Bombs...
Though Ms S prefers the Spicy Ahi Inari Bombs...
And we both love the Boiled Peanuts as they are cooked "al dente" with a little crunch. Nothing worse than mushy boiled peanuts...
So even if we're now both retired, we've factored a weekly visit to Kbay Bros Fish & Ice into our retirement budget...
