Lunch @ Fete

We recently celebrated a birthday @ Fete. It was the B-Day girl's first visit to Fete because we wanted her to sample some of Hawaii's latest James Beard award winning food! We started with the Trio of Spreads - which is always good - featuring housemade ricotta, a macadamia nut tapenade and roasted eggplant spread served with Fete toast points. Fete originally featured bread from BreadShop but are now baking their own bread.
We also sampled libations including the Karpouzi Punch with lemon verbena infused Tito's, Ouzo, Dolin Rouge, Rose wine, watermelon syrup and lime for Ms S...
And a pair of La Signora Negronis with lemon zest and white tea infused reposado mezcal, Zucca (a rhubarb liqueur) and Suze for the B-Day girl and me...
The B-Day girl then sampled the Chaz Burger sans fries...
While Ms S had the Quinoa Buger with fries...
And I finally chose something other than the Korean Bavette... the Vitello Tonnato with tender slices of red veal with a rich tuna belly sauce that would have been great with fries or chips under salad greens, shaved fennel and fried capers...
Of course, the girls saved their appetites for desserts including the Banana Tiramisu...
And the Raspberry Lychee Sorbet...
Once again, another great meal from Chef Mai'i and staff!
