When friends from the Bay Area were visiting, we took them for lunch at Brick Fire Tavern. We started with a round of cocktails the Good Day Negroni with cherry gin, Bonanto Aperitivo and ginger Cocchi Americano...
A Constellation Prize with hard apple cider, bourbon, lemon and St Agrestis Amaro...
And a Red Rover, a NA cocktail with Earl Grey tea, NA aperitivo and pineapple...
We then moved on to the House Caesar Salad...
And the Porcini Rigatoni with fresh Onda pasta, porcini, crimini and truffle oil...
I also sampled the Lady Marmalade with reposado tequila, Amaro Angeleno, orange-marmalade-lime and orange bitters...
We then moved on to the main courses, a traditional Pizaa Margherita - Brick Fire Tavern received the highest honor for this pie, the VPN certification from Italy...
And the "Pepperoni" Pizza - pepperoni is in quotations as it's actuall topped with sopressata...
We also sampled the Nutella Calzone which was VERY tasty...
I paired dessert with my final libation, the Not Your Nonna's Tiramisu with cognac, black coffee liqueur, creme de cacao, creme, egg yolk and mascarpone...
So yes, we'll be back, with or without visitors...
