HASR Wine Co had their annual Champagne tasting this past week - $40 for 12 different bottles of bubbly mostly from smaller grower-producers. Since we both had the day off, we decided to sample bubbly during the holiday season. The line-up looked like this:

Of course, as the tasting wound down my younger French brother uncorks a bottle of "Parking Lot" Krug...
So I have to uncork a bottle of Jose Dhondt Rose de Saignee...
Then we adjourn next door to HASR Bistro for a light meal...
Bubbly is always great but a lot more festive during the holiday season...
