I personally love a Manhattan whenever I dine at a steakhouse - something about that Mad Men 50's mentality about enjoying a stiff cocktail with grilled steak and when "men were men, women were dames and business was settled with a handshake".
The Boulevardier substitutes bourbon for gin
1 ounce Bourbon
1 ounce Campari
1 ounce Sweet Vermouth
Orange Twist

1 ounce Rye whiskey
1 ounce Campari
1 ounce Sweet Vermouth
