Limoncello anyone?



Ok, it's time to create another libation. I already tried the gin route... several times... how about limoncello? You know, the stuff Danny DeVito was quaffing with his buddy George Clooney before appearing on "The View"... it's a good thing no one was smoking on the show because it might have ignited his breath...

Start by zesting 15 lemons... thank goodness for those microplane graters...


Then add a bottle of almost pure grain alcohol...

Diluted with bottled water to bring the alcohol down to 50%...



Now let it sit in a cool, dark place at room temperature (kind of an oxymoron... room temperature now is more like 90-plus degrees...


In 6 weeks, I'll be adding the simple syrup with another 6 more weeks of "aging"...


Now what to do with 15 "naked" lemons...?...
