We were invited to Hank's Haute Dogs soft opening this past Sunday. He was scheduled to re-open in his new location (right next to the old location) a couple of weeks ago. Then there were electrical issues... like no electricity so he even had to cook his Good Table meal on burners. Then it was something else... and something else. So finally, the only issue he faces is the inspection by HFD... which hopefully won't be an issue so he's now slated to re-open this coming Friday. Since we there at 11:00am, the girls started with some sweet coffee concoction...
Then we dove into our meals including the Breakfast Dog... the Mrs snapped this photo so don't blame me for the blurriness...
And since it is October and Ocktoberfest season, I sampled the Bratwurst with Duesseldorf mustard and kraut...
While the Mrs had Hank's Dog which was a semi-dressed Chicago Dog...
We also sampled the three variations of the Breakfast Fries - served only at breakfast, they all have a plate of frites topped with Hollandaise sauce and a runny egg... but ours had avocado and pickled jalapenos...
I "HAD" to do that money shot with the runny yolk...
Another had Portuguese sausage...
And a third had sauteed mushrooms...
Make sure you get a fork as these frites are mighty tasty.. but messy eatin'! We also sampled the Lobster Dog served daily now...
So hopefully by this weekend, you too can get your Haute Dog fix!...
