Last week, the Mrs' work schedule coincided with my schedule so that we could actually do a date night, pau hana dinner immediately after work on Friday. You see, this was never possible with her schedule from her previous employer as most hospitals try to discharge as many patients before the weekend as possible (probably also due to patient requests) so her Fridays meant anywhere from 1 to 3 hours of "love" time so she never got home as scheduled...
But it's now possible with the current employer so she selected Big City Diner... no problem with me as they have a full bar... The Mrs started with a pint of Guinness... Guinness by Coors that is...
While I chose the "Tiny" 25oz Black and Tan...
Of course, we always have fries...
The Mrs then started with her Pan-Seared Salmon with Uncle Danny's Fried Rice... she took home about half of the dish...
Since our work schedules are a lot more in-sync, we should be indulging in more of these Friday pau hana dinners in the future...
