Dinner @ Aloha Beer Co

Since we never sampled any of Aloha Beer Co's fries, we had to make a trip specifically just for the fries. You see, their Steak Fries start at $6.50 but then you get to add toppings for an additional fee like Japanese Curry Gravy ($3) or Bacon Fondue ($4) or Pizza Fries ($4)... but we were here for the Gyro ($5) version with Niihau lamb gravy, tomatoes, cucumbers, dill yogurt and Feta cheese... I thought it would simply be a lamb bone based gravy... Nope! complete with chunks of ground lamb...

This was a meal in itself!

We also sampled the Mezze platter ($13) with red pepper hummus, tomatoes, cucumbers, Feta cheese, olives and toasted pita bread...

Sampled with a half pint of Portlock Porter ($4.50) for the Mrs...

And a pint of The Vog ($7.50), a New England style IPA for me... VERT TASTY!

We also split the Smoked Pork Loin Sandwich ($16) with grilled Raclette cheese and whole grain mustard on baguette... I wouldn't mind havin' this for my weekday lunch... everyday...

I also sampled a pint of the Makai Pier Gose (go-suh) ($6.50), a German ale with sea water added from the Makai Pier in Waimanalo (thank goodness it wasn't water from the Ala Wai...)

While the Mrs finished with a cocktail, The Bonnie Situation ($10) with El Dorado 8yr, Bonal, cold brewed coffee, Portlock Porter and cold brew coffee cream... whew!

Though we love or vino, it's a refreshing change to occasionally get our fill of brewskies and pub-grub... ONO pub-grub!
