Celebratin' Negroni Week @ the Nook

This year, Imbibe magazine and Campari celebrated Negroni Week from June 4th through June 10th and once again, the Nook Neighborhood Bisro participated by donating $1 from the sale of each Negroni cocktail. And if there are Negronis shaken, I'm so there...

We started with the a Yerba Mate for the Mrs with yerba mate infused gin, Aperol and Carpano Antica...

And the Lambrusco with Zucca Rarbabaro, Campari, Lambrusco and orange bitter for me...

Then started with our appetizers including a HUMUNGOUS platter of Polenta Fries with bleu cheese and balsamico... I don't remember the platter being this huge!

Along with the Chilled Tako with shiso pesto, potatoes, kalamata, celery and wasabi oil... ONO!

And the Asian Pear Salad with miso-peanut dressing... very reminiscent of Pah Ke's chicken salad...

And since it's Negroni Week, we sampled a 2nd round including the Coffee with Sazerac rye, Campari, Carpano Antica and cold brewed coffee for the Mrs...

And the Classic for me...

We then moved to our mains including the special Vongole with spicy red sauce for the Mrs... the leftovers were even delicious cold the next morning...

And the Shiso Pesto Risotto for me...

The Mrs finished her evening with the Condensed Milk Affogatto...

While I rounded out my evening with the last Negroni special, a Negroni Shave Ice... As refreshing as dessert gets...

It's been a year since our last visit to the Nook (at last year's Negroni Week) though even the Mrs agreed that we shouldn't wait another year for our next visit...
