Vacation 2022, Day #3

We weren't sure if the Healdsburg Inn was even serving their usual breakfast since it was Thanksgiving but once I smelled the coffee, knew that breakfast awaited... It was a mixed veggie quiche with home fries with goat cheese...
Because we were unsure about breakfast, Ms S did purchase several to-go items from Little Saint including a multi-grain salad, pickled beets and a roasted squash and sweet potato medley (forgot to photograph) and I selected a Pierre Paillard Les Parcelles Grand Cru - this is some really tasty bubbly...
Fortunately, we did have breakfast so right after breakfast we strolled Healdsburg Square to watch participants in the Turkey Trot. For dinner, we were lucky that Dry Creek Kitchen was open for the holiday as the next closest restaurant that was open was John Ash & Co in Santa Rosa. I started with The Big Apple which was a bourbon based libation and very balanced...
While Ms S selected the Never Surrender, a gin based libation with more citrus notes though both cocktails were very balanced.
For the holiday, Dry Creek Kitchen offered a three course meal where you select your starter, entree and dessert with several additions if you desire. We were first served a dish of their brioche rolls (tender and buttery)...
And we opted for Chef Palmer's take on the green bean casserole...
I then moved on to my Braised Pheasant Tortellini...
While Ms S noshed on her Salad of Bitter Greens with Lardons...
For my entree, I selected the Lightly Smoked Duroc Pork Chop - very tender and juicy...
While Ms S went traditional with the Turkey Two Ways with turkey breast roulade and shredded leg meat...
To end the meal, I had the Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar - like a creamy Reese's only about 10x better...
While Ms S selected the Pumpkin Cheesecake...
These were served with a plate of mignardises (all three were very good)...
Of course, a holiday meal isn't complete without ending with a negroni... in this case, a CP Negroni which I assume is chef/owner Charlie Palmer's negroni with a mixture of both Campari and Aperol...
Day 4 is our transition day when we travel from Healdsburg to Napa...
