Okay, I lied. Today's cocktail is from the Shaker & Spoon box that Sis got me, a riff on the traditional Egg Nog, the Nog-Atomi Plaza. It's meant to be served like a rum punch in a large punch bowl so you can't make individual drinks.
It first calls for 3 whisked raw eggs (like you would do for egg nog)...
Followed by the Nut Pod original non-dairy creamer with both almond and coconut milk - you have to use the whole 11.2 ounce container...
Then whisk in 3 ounces of Shaker & Spoon's apricot demerara gomme syrup...
Followed by 8 ounces of spiced rum...
You then refrigerate it for 24 to 48 hours then serve in a punch bowl in individual mugs filed with ice and grate from fresh nutmeg on top...
Because the Nut Pod non-dairy creamer is no where as rich as half and half, you do feel the alcohol from the spiced rum even if this cocktail only comes in at 15.5% abv which is like a CA wine...
